Blue Series

The contemporary art photography floral arrangement Red Tulip No.2 is one of 4 in the Red Tulip Series.

Made in Opatija, Croatia in 2006 the series was shot outdoors in spring sunshine using a notebook of white paper positioned beneath the subject to add line as well as contrast color and capture shadow play of the flowers shapes.

Furthermore the series is abstracted by blurring the subjects themselves minimizing them in detail while expanding them into blocks of hyper-realistic color and form.
