The experimental and near impressionist style Pool Side at the Hotel Admiral was made in Opatija Croatia in early fall 2006.. and Lord knows how many times I and about every tourist with a camera has tried to make a picture of the blues here.

Pool Side at Hotel Admiral looks like a small piece and especially as formatted as such here.. but it sucks you in when you actually look into it and no matter how you try to withdraw from its force it is hard to release the grip. Try it and see. The Mediterranean combination of colors! There is a white city (Rijeka) or other just between the blue of the sky and of the water. Also there is a piece of red cloth which the artist was careful to catch from a sailing vessel leaving the marina while he was literally hanging off an outside rail of the pool from within the sailing club's boundaries while people passed with cameras in hands somehow knowing what he was after. What they didn't know was that to steady himself finally with one hand clinging to the rail as the other hand held the camera he found image crop marks of some interest scaling the left side and the bottom right corner of the work.
