The fine art contemporary photography still life Chair and Table in Morning Light of the Sun Room was made in Opatija, Croatia in the spring of 2006 as a last note of reminder of a place in a rented apartment on the bottom floor of a villa which I didn't expect to see again following a timely notification of deportation from the country.
The Sun Room had been a primary and constant source of inspiration to me, a workspace with the benefits of both nature and its surrealisms just outside the window as well as enclosed sanctuary. The blue blur at the mid right side of this composition is powered by sunlight through tinted aquamarine glass bricks and in fact the color of the these bricks is the actual cornerstone of subsequent "blurred" photographic compositions.
The still life of Chair and Table is an homage to the environment that spawned a creative boom. The roll of film with Chair and Table in Sun Room weathered three months of deportation to Sarajevo, Bosnia and Hercegovina before it was finally developed in Opatija and seen for the first time while I was sitting again at the Chair and Table.
