Banana Leaves

The decorative fine art photography abstract arrangement Lace Curtains Shadows is part of the Garden Shadows Photography Series of 4 related works made in Opatija, Croatia in spring 2006.

These curtains are the thin gauze which separates me from the world outside while I sit in the "sun room" in my Opatija villa apartment. The sun room is aptly called because the whole front wall of a 15 square meter area is a very large glass window. When the sun shines, and it does, the light and the ambiance is magical.

Two other pictures reveal slightly different insights into the sun room beside this detail of its lace drapery and they are Chair and Table in light of the Sun Room and Rose in a Vase.
